“It sang on the wind

It soared in the skies

It flew on the breeze

It came from another world even then

Now it’s locked away in another age…”

Created by acclaimed performance artist Xie Rong (aka Echo Morgan) and writer, filmmaker, musician, and director Daniel York Loh (Off West End Award nominee for The Dao of Unrepresentative British Chinese Experience), Mountains and Seas – Song of Today 山海今 is a compellingly bold, genre-defying new work, inspired by the 4th-century BCE Classic of Mountains and Sea (山海經), exploring climate crisis, activism, rising global fascism, and existential dread.

Blending poetry, visual art, dance, and music, Mountains and Seas – Song of Today 山海 · 今日之歌 is an electrifying interdisciplinary experience — a performance that soars, strikes, and stirs.
